Chappell Roan Calls Out Fans Who Have 'Stalked' Her

Chappell Roan realizes that she is the It Girl of the moment in pop music, but she would like to have a little bit of privacy.

On TikTok, Roan shared two videos in which she called out fans who have "stalked" her and her family and demanded photos and hugs in public, despite Roan turning them down.

"I don't care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or a little famous," Roan declared in the social media clip. "It's weird how people think that you know a person because you see them online and listen to the art they make ... I'm allowed to say no to creepy behavior, okay?"

There is no denying that Roan's sudden popularity could be overwhelming just to look at. She recently had the largest crowd attendance ever to turn out at a Lollapalooza performance, according to festival organizers.

What's more, she's quickly become ingratiated in popular culture, with even politicians attempting to score cool points by quoting her lyrics.

Yet as hard as Roan works, she said she's "clocked out" when she's not working in a post to Instagram on Friday.

"I feel more love than I ever have in my life," she wrote. "I feel the most unsafe I have ever felt in my life."

She added, "I've been in too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions and I just need to lay it out and remind you, women don't owe you s---."

Her love of music and art is about "honoring her inner child," she explained. "I do not accept harassment of any kind because I chose this path, nor do I deserve it."

Amen.
