If you're wondering whether Amazon's live-action "Masters of the Universe" will do the source material justice, there's a fresh clue in a reveal of Nicholas Galitzine's look as heroic He-Man.
"It was revealed back in May last year that Galitzine will take the lead and portray the '80s icon He-Man in Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel's 'Masters Of The Universe' reboot, which now has a release date of June 5, 2026," Movieweb recounted.
The "Red, White & Royal Blue" star "previously revealed to W Magazine how dedicated he is to getting in He-Man shape," the writeup added. "And it's clearly paid off."
A considerably bulked-up (and blond!) Galitzine is pictured in the photo, which was posted to X (formerly Twitter) and captioned, "Camila Mendes and Nicholas Galitzine with Hafthor Bjornsson training for Masters of The Universe."
"The project has now amassed an all-star cast alongside Galitzine as Prince Adam, AKA He-Man," Movieweb relayed. "The cast includes Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man, and MCU star Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms."
The report quoted Galitzine telling W Magazine that he was consuming 4,000 calories daily in the quest to gain the muscle the role demands. "I will eventually go into what's called the cutting phase, where I'm going to be starved and so rude to everyone," Galitzine said.
The image sadly does not show the results of that cutting phase, with Galitzine's physique covered in what looks to be an extra-large T-shirt. But the work is clearly paying off: Though he's dwarfed by Bjornsson, Galitzine is clearly sturdy and broad-shouldered.
A more detailed reveal will surely come. Until then, have a look at some of the pics the "Mary and George" star has posted to his Instagram:
