Former NFL player and reality TV star Colton Underwood took to Instagram along with husband Jordan C. Brown to share an adorable family portrait from their first Christmas as dads.

The couple welcomed a son, Bishop, into their lives in October via surrogacy after both donated sperm.

"Bishop's first Christmas 🎄," Underwood captioned the pic, "and our favorite gift 🎁".

Indeed, the gift of parenthood has been so profound that Santa, the Stork, and fertility science may have more work to do for the loving couple, Us Magazine reported last month.

"We definitely have been open to another one or two" children, Underwood enthused in comments to the publication. For the moment, though, "We really just wanted to bond and have this moment with [him] individually and then continue to grow our family."

Fans flooded the family photo with supportive comments.

"So beautiful Jordan !!!!!!! This warms my heart !!!!" one person posted. "Love you guys so much ❤️❤️".

"So much joy! I'm so happy for you guys ❤️🎄," another added.

"Beautiful!!" posted a third. "Merry Christmas ❤️❤️❤️".

Love emojis abounded in other messages, many of them nothing more than a string of the heart-shaped symbols.

Being a dad isn't always something Underwood expected would be his role; he "admitted that he once didn't see a path to becoming a dad as a gay man," Us Magazine noted.

But now that surrogacy has made proud dads of himself and Brown, Underwood is focused on his family in the healthiest and most constructive way possible.

"I hope that he is a kind and patient loving soul," the onetime star of "The Bachelor" shared with Us. "I hope that when he looks at his two dads, he sees exactly that."
