There are dads, and then there are dads like actor and comedian Marlon Wayans-who recently made a bold and colorful statement of support for his 24-year-old transgender son, Kai.

In an Instagram message, Wayans seemed celebratory of Pride and proud of his son for teaching him the right words of support.

"Happy PRIDE to all my LGBTQ+ peoples," he wrote, adding, "P.S. I'm STRAIGHT... well, according to my child CISGENDER male. I just love and support my peoples."

But Wayans didn't stop there. He also showed the results of an LGBTQ+-photo shoot in which he is surrounded by rainbow colored props, wearing a sweater with inspiring phrases such as "love wins," "100% pride," and "love is love."

Under the post, the comedian's fans shared comments of support.

"You're a good man, Marlon! Respect. ✊🏾," wrote one commentator. Another added: "You just picked up a new follower. Admired your talent, but even more so, I admire your parenting and your empathy. #RealDad #ForeverDad."

Wayans' famous friends also jumped in to applaud the actor, with actress Holly Robinson Pete commenting: "Great Dad Stuff"

But of course there were more than a few trolls who had something to say under the post, but Wayans was having none of it.

"Yeah and just for the HATE MONGERS ... I'm posting ANOTHER," he wrote. "As a father of a child in the LGBTQ+ community I show my support. Zero f‐‐‐‐ what people think. If I lost you... GOOD! Your hateful a‐‐ never loved me in the first place. How can you love anyone when you're too busy judging. Some of y'all funny. I'm a troll. I'll post all day."

He finished with, "HAPPY PRIDE to all my friends, fam, fans and loved ones. I am happy you're happy... period."

Happy Pride, indeed.
