Thirst Trap of the Day: Shawn Mendes and Pal Get Handsy with a Broom

Shawn Mendes has been out and about lately and teasing new music. As Uproxx reports, Mendes was spotted on the street (presumably Los Angeles) by fans. After posing for pictures with them, someone asked about a new album.
"[It's] coming soon," he said. "Actually, we just finished it like 10 minutes ago."
Mendes, 25, has not released a new album since 2020 when he dropped "Wonder." In 2022, he canceled most of the album's supporting tour, citing mental health issues.
Before Mendes' latest encounter, he was spotted hanging around (shirtless!) in New York City.
But what got Mendes' fans really talking was an Instagram post he shared this week. The first is a black-and-white snap of Mendes looking handsome while holding an acoustic guitar. But the second pic raised some eyebrows for some: it shows a shirtless Mendes being poked in the chest by his pal Mike Sabath, a producer and songwriter.
What also caught fans' eyes is the "Stitches" singer's caption for the post, which reads, "2 electric ladies." The singer is likely referencing the Electric Lady Studios in New York City – a renowned recording studio where a number of stars have created iconic albums.
Earlier this year, in another IG post, Mendes once again confirmed a new album was on the way.
