Meryl Streep is about to go into talks for "Mamma Mia 3," the iconic actor revealed, saying that while she doesn't know any story details, a meeting on the proposed production is "imminent."

"The acting legend, honored with an Honorary Palme d'Or at an emotional presentation Tuesday night during the Cannes Film Festival's opening ceremony the Grand Théâtre Lumière, confirmed that 'of course, I want to do it,'" Deadline detailed.

Streep co-starred with Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård, and Colin Firth in the smash hit 2008 jukebox musical, which features songs by Swedish pop group Abba.

The movie, which is based on the 1999 stage musical of the same name, has gone on to become a queer classic.

The article noted that Streep's character – Donna, the mother of Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried – was killed off in the 2018 sequel, but Streep seemed unconcerned.

"I don't know how they're going to do it," the Oscar winner told Deadline. "They have an idea. I haven't heard it yet but... I'm going to hear about it pretty soon."

The article included an update about another beloved Streep-related project: the fourth season of Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building."

"It's so much fun," Streep gushed, before adding: "they don't have to pay me."
