Beloved out funnyman Leslie Jordan may be gone, but he's not forgotten – and given the late actor's lingering presence on TV, it might not seem like he's actually gone at all. One example is the new episode of MTV's "Cribs," which aired Nov. 17 in which Jordan shared some surprising details about his life as a younger man.

"A lot of people don't know this, but when I was 19 years old I decided I wanted to be a jockey with thoroughbred racehorses," Jordan told the camera, showing off photos from his days as a horse racer, the New York Post detailed.

"I grew a mustache," the "Sordid Lives" and "Will & Grace" actor explained, according to ET. "I wasn't really completely out."

Added Jordan: "I didn't want everyone around the racetrack to know that I was gay. Hello – like I can hide that!"

There was no hiding the prolific comedian's talents, though. Author of numerous solo shows and best-selling memoirs, as well as being a busy TV and film actor, Jordan reached new audiences – and new heights of fame – during the pandemic with humorous IG posts in which he recounted nuggets of Hollywood lore.

At the time of his death, Jordan, 67, was starring in the Fox sitcom "Call Me Kat" as a gay character named Phil. Only in the current, third season, did Phil find love with another man, in an episode that aired last week. Jordan completed two more episodes of the series and was working on another at the time of his death on Oct. 24, after a car crash in Los Angeles. It's been speculated that the crash occurred while Jordan, who was at the wheel, was suffering a heart attack.

Jordan also made "a posthumous appearance on the Season 3 premiere of the HGTV series 'Celebrity IOU,' in which he surprised friends Rosemary and Newell Alexander with a dramatic home renovation," Yahoo! Entertainment said.

Of the Nov. 14 episode, Yahoo! Entertainment noted that the "AHS" actor "chose the close friends for the home transformation as a way to say thank you for the nearly 40 years of friendship they shared.

"The couple befriended him soon after he arrived in Los Angeles from Chattanooga, Tenn., while he struggled with addiction issues," the article detailed.

"I really found out the secret for happiness is to do for others," Jordan reflected on the reality show, Yahoo! relayed. "So I kept thinking over the years, 'You know if I ever got a chance to do something for people that were there for me that way, wouldn't that be something?'"

Jordan also appeared as a guest judge on the Nov. 9 episode of "The Masked Singer," an earlier Yahoo! article said.
