Oscar Isaac Calls Florida 'Dysfunctional' Over 'Don't Say Gay' Law

Disney's "Moon Knight" star Oscar Isaac is speaking up where the House of Mouse company didn't.
In a new wide-ranging interview with The New York Times, Isaac was asked about the company's response to Florida's anti-LGBTQ legislation, and he didn't hold back.
Isaac grew up in Florida, and he says he personally knows "how dysfunctional the state is."
"But it's an interesting time where everything is parsed, and if Disney is going to own so much of the entertainment industry, they've got to expect to come up against some tough decisions," says Isaac.
But he adds, "Disney was forced to take a stand, and I'm glad that they took the right stand there. Sometimes silence or neutrality is just not going to work."
With everything now carrying a "political undercurrent," Isaac says he has been evaluating the undercurrent of his own work and who he chooses to do work for.
"I just want to make good stuff," says Isaac, "and hopefully try to do it in a responsible way."
