A Florida woman told police that she stole a vibrator in order to refrain from cheating on her husband, The Smoking Gun reports.
Ashton Barton was allegedly caught stealing a Durex "Ring of Bliss" sex toy Friday at a CV in Largo, Fla., which is located 25-miles west of Tampa.
An employee told a patrolman, who approached Barton, 33, and questioned her about the item, which costs $15.
A criminal complaint obtained by TSG says Barton admitted to taking the sex toy from its packaging and concealing it. She said when she was spotted taking the sex toy, she ditched it.
Barton explained to authorities why she took the "Ring of Bliss."
"My husband doesn't want to touch me anymore," she said, according to TSG. "I would rather do this than be unfaithful."
According to the Durex website, the "Ring of Bliss" is a "couples vibrator is designed for on-the-spot stimulation for 20 minutes of blissful pleasure. Hits the spot for her, exceptional pleasure for him."
Barton, a mother of four, was charged with a felony due to her rap sheet, which includes multiple theft convictions. TSG reports Barton's rap sheet also includes, marijuana possessions, forgery and several bad check counts.
After being booked in a county jail, Barton was released after posting a $2,000 bond.
