'American Horror Story' Actor Harry Hains Dead at 27

Actor Harry Hains, who appeared in shows like "American Horror Story" and "The OA," has died, CNN reports. He was 27.

His mother Jane Badler confirmed the passing of Hains with an Instagram post, saying he died earlier this week.

"On Jan 7 my beautiful son died. He was 27 and had the world at his feet. But sadly he struggled with mental illness and addiction," she wrote. "A brilliant spark shone bright too short a time .. I will miss you Harry every day of my life."

Badler, also an actress best known for her role in the "Mission: Impossible" TV series that ran from 1989 through 1990, included information regarding her son's memorial service, which will be held at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles Sunday.

Harris appeared in the fourth episode of "American Horror Story: Hotel" in 2014. He also appeared Netflix's sci-fi series "The OA" and Amazon's "Sneaky Pete."
