Sneaking in just under the wire, Dolly Parton will join her "9 to 5" castmates Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda on the final season of the Netflix comedy "Grace and Frankie," CNN reported.

Netflix "announced the guest spot on Friday, tweeting, 'It's finally happening: Dolly Parton will appear in the seventh and final season of Grace and Frankie!!!'," CNN said.

that "the country music legend, actress, and humanitarian will appear at some point during the final 12 episodes of the half-hour comedy," which has already released the first four episodes of its seventh and final season.

The iconic singer had expressed interest in such a reunion for some time, saying last February during a talk show appearance in the UK, "I've been trying to do 'Grace and Frankie' for years," People Magazine recalled.

"We worked so well together on '9 to 5', it's a crazy wonderful show," Parton said.

"No plot or character details were provided, so the door is presumably open for Parton to appear as herself or as a whole new character put in the mix alongside Fonda's buttoned-up Grace and Tomlin's free-spirited Frankie," Entertainment weekly speculated.
