Shawn Mendes Strips for the Beach and Magazine Covers

Shawn Mendes has been stripping down lately, both on the beach with his girlfriend Camila Cabello and on the covers of fashion magazines.

"Dressed in a two-piece swimsuit in shades of blue, Camila enjoyed some dips in the ocean with Shawn who sported a plain black swimsuit and his AirPods (at times). The duo was also accompanied by one of their friends, who remains unidentified at the moment," notes the website HITC.

"The couple has been spotted together several times during the pandemic. They often take their pandemic walks together, often with coffee mugs in their hands," the outlet indicated.

But when their public appearances became less frequent, there was speculation that the couple may have broken up. Those rumors, though, have been dispelled — at least on social media — as the longstanding couple showed some major PDA in recent pictures.

Apart from displaying his relationship status on social media, Mendes has been stripping down for a number of fashion magazines. He's on the cover of the British fashion magazine Rollacoaster where he's featured smiling with his eyes closed and wearing an open shirt. The pic was a tease for an upcoming feature to appear in the zine's Fall/Winter issue.

Mendes bared even more skin for Wonderland Magazine in a recent interview for their summer issue.

In the feature, the "Wonder" singer admits: "I still struggle with trying to fit into the shoes of who I believe 'Shawn Mendes' should be... at some point along the line, my expectations and my standard of who I should be, the music I should make, and the way I should look, became so high that no matter what I did and no matter how hard I was trying with my music, I couldn't fit those shoes. If I even struggle to [live up to] what I think I should be, I definitely don't want to make it harder for the 14-year-old kid in Canada to be who they are."

As the magazine observes, " Perhaps because underneath it all, Mendes is still just a small-town boy from Canada who willingly gave over his heart to music."

The 24-year-old singer has opened up about having to deal with being labeled gay, a rumor he hasn't taken that well. Last December, he addressed that gossip in an appearance on Dax Shepard's podcast "Armchair Expert."
"You want to say, 'I'm not gay but it'd be fine if I was gay. But also, there's nothing wrong with being gay but I'm not,'" he told Shepard.

Mendes said the rumors made him feel uncomfortable with his own behavior. "I'm like, 'How do I sit?' I'm always first to cross my legs and sit with a position of this feminine style and I really suffered with that s—t."
